PIXL stands for People, Interaction, and eXperience Lab. I co-founded this club with Ananya Srinivasan just last month so we could make an inclusive, interdisciplinary tech space on campus. The story goes like this: we noticed that many tech spaces on UMD’s campus were male-dominated, often with not a single active member that was a woman. Therefore, PIXL’s primary mission is to bring people of all kinds together, giving them the boost they need to collaborate and get things done.
